One Magical Week Changes Everything
In day-to-day life, whether you’re working, parenting, or going through a painful transition, losing your joy can become all too easy. You find yourself going through the motions, busy doing all the things you should be doing and feeling like life is passing you by.
In this retreat, we spend two and a half days away from the daily grind, in a beautiful place, to reclaim our joy. Through writing, meditation, dance and a series of other activities, we identify and release blocks to peace and empowerment, and experience the joy that arises when negative emotions such as fear, resentment and shame dissolve.
It is our intention that you not only connect with your divine inheritance and experience yourself as the powerful creator of your life, but that you also leave with tools to help you access that power moving forward.
Meet Ashlie + Megan
I believe you are infinitely powerful and inherently creative. My work is about you knowing that truth in the most undeniable of ways so that you can embody it in every area of your life.
My journey to freedom began over a decade ago when I attended a weekend workshop and discovered that I wasn't broken. That life-changing moment propelled me along an endless path of self-love and authentic living.
In the decade since, I've come to know the wholeness of who I am, to trust my intuition for guidance and to believe that I am worthy of what I most desire.
I believe there is nothing sweeter or more liberating than loving ourselves exactly the way that we are.
Megan is an award-winning author and speaker. She has reported from Mexico, England, Canada, Guatemala and throughout the U.S., and her journalism has appeared in publications such as Psychology Today, Salon, The San Francisco Chronicle, The Miami Herald, Newsday, Glamour and Southwest: The Magazine. Her book, TRIUMPH OF THE HEART: FORGIVENESS IN AN UNFORGIVING WORLD, explores forgiveness through science, stories and memoir. It was named a 2016 Book for a Better Life by the National MS Society and a Best Book of 2015 on the Science of a Meaningful Life by the UC Berkeley Greater Good Science Center. Megan speaks frequently about how forgiveness is crucial to our individual health and wellbeing, as well as to the productivity and profitability of our organizations. Her book and TEDx talk have been lauded by the likes of Desmond Tutu, Adam Grant, Marianne Williamson and Elizabeth Gilbert. Megan holds a master's degree from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism in New York, and she lives in Denver with her husband and son.

Our first official retreat session will be held Friday morning at 9am and we will complete Sunday after lunch.

A non-refundable deposit of $500 secures your spot. Payment is due in full by August 16th. Participants are advised to fly into Denver or Colorado Springs by 2pm on Sept. 6th and book return flights for after 2pm on Sept. 9th.
SunMountain Center is a historic bed and breakfast and wellness and yoga retreat venue, featuring a natural environment for guests to delve further into their consciousness and practice through yoga, the arts, timeless teachings, and farm-to-table cuisine.
